If you can stand yet another reference site for copyrights, and you're into mapping, try the Copyright Navigator:  A Digital Annotated Concept Map of the Fundamentals of U.S. Copyright Law:

http://navigator.carolon.net/

It's by Lionel Sobel, a professor at the Southwestern University School of Law and editor of the Entertainment Law Reporter.

At first it might seem to be just a flow chart, but look for other items to click on for further information, explanations, and relationships among the various parts of US copyright law.

Hello Georgeanna:

Thank you so much for this link, as a week ago or so I had a questions on copyright. I'm a paralegal who took a class on intellectual property law many years ago, but I've since forgotten the fundamentals of copyright law. The link you provided is pretty clear as to what is coyrighted.  Thank you again!
