I *AM* a writer.
And a published one who got paid by WD and the washpost as well as having been in dozens of other national publications and an encyclopedia.
And I made a good living writing for several years for biz and government.

I don't need to know what you think a critique is as I have proven myself already.
Where have you been published? How does writing fanfic on some website make you the all knowing expert on writing?
You are not a writer of fiction. And we were not talking about writing - we were talking about critiques. I have beta'd for many years, including for 2 writers who have over 15 trade published books between them. So yeah - I know a little something about critiques. And when you get around to writing fiction, let us know - especially if you get published.
There is more to writing than fanfic. Anybody can sling some stuff and post it on line. Does not qualify them as a writer.

I *AM* a writer. A published and PAID writer.
I can critique any writing as well as anyone even if you think you are the only one with that skill.

At least I can link to my writing and allow anyone who wants to to read it and judge for themselves. Where's yours?

My writing was published in print format. Anybody can put stuff online. Start bragging when you have been paid and print published.

Another thread I would lock if I could. I see and hear enough of this bickering on tv and radio. It's a shame people have to come here and see it too.

It is a shame ostarella is a bully and always has something personal to say instead of adding factual material in her replies to me.

You can't lock the thread but you could ban her. That would get her attention and make her be helpful not disruptive.
