Personally, I like the occasional writing prompt. They can be like that first cup of coffee in the morning, or the walk in the park to clear your head, or even a bit of a busman's holiday. Something to do when you need a little break from the "real" writing. But I'm also talking about a short 1-2 word prompt, or a photo prompt, definitely not a full-on synopsis or plot line, and I can't see spending any money on a book of them (well, maybe photos ;) ).
