It's NEVER too late to START. Recently, I read a story about an 80-year-old, first-time woman writer. I LOVE her already! :)

1) Specific work-related promotion by end of year, apply for promotion by July
2) Complete work-related study guide (3 years effort thus far)
3) Dedicate one hour daily to writing (anything)
4) Complete rough draft of novel by end of year
5) Buy a home (move)
6) Family vacation
7) Specific religious personal goal
8) Develop new exercise regimen and maintain it
9) Lose 20 lbs.
10) Get two articles published
11) Complete associate degree by July

A little over half of last year's resolutions were accomplished, but I prefer to remind myself frequently that the battle plan is always fluid. The resolutions and goals should be flexible and change through the year, being moved up, pushed back, changed, delayed, modified, reduced, or increased as needed. If one goal is accomplished, another should take it's place.

I'm thinking of keeping my resolutions simple this year.

1. Write at least once a week(even if it's just a few sentences)
2. Read more.
3. Spend less money on DVDs.
4. Learn something new.

Goals, not resolutions - things to work toward, not resolve to complete. Resolutions require commitment, for Heaven's sakes!!

Declutter, purge, downsize my "stuff".

Write an article good enough to be published, and get it published!

Improve my balance and strength.

Find a way to organize my massive spice collection.

Learn to bake with puff pastry.

Perfect one Julia Child recipe.

Paint at least one of my white walls an actual color.

Volunteer more.

I resolve to:

1. Write something every day.
2. Participate in the Writing Prompts more often.
3. Do some form of exercise every day.
4. Forgive myself and others promptly.
