Write a haiku (first line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables, third line 5 syllables) about your first day of high school.

You can post your response (750 words or fewer) here.

A crush of people
a dark hallway, lost, unknown
my presence required

high school means trauma

me and my middle school buds

watch our world collapse

best friends have all changed

girls have become goddesses

guys now fighting zits

pecking order rules

seniors ignore all freshmen

sophomores torture

I wanna go back

too late now I greatly fear

better just lay low

can’t find my locker

and though I’m all grown up now

that scene haunts my dreams

:emoticon:
