All the blessings in my life are too many to tell,
But I will do my best to count them well.

Chocolate is the cure whenever I woe,
Directly to the candy shop is where I will go.

Ending the day with a glass of red
Feels heavenly before I go off to bed.

Gathering plumerias on a morning stroll,
Hastily placing them in a frosted glass bowl.

Iced coffee on a swetlering day
Jolts me awake and sends me off on my way

Kids laughing and playing is a spendid thing.
Listening to ocean waves crashing is hearing the sea sing.

Moonlit walks with my dear love on a starry night.
New rain on a cold morning spent in bed is also a delight.

Opening presents on birthdays , Christmas or anytime at all!
Playing with puppies - who knew it was possible to have so much fun with a ball?

Quiet afternoons spent reading a great book and sipping piping hot tea.
Rising early and for a day of fun is the sun, heading to the sea.

Sunny days, sunny days, sunny days
To appreciate life and catch some rays.

Us, my husband and me
Very cheesy and mushy, but it's a blessing, you see.

Water- to drink, to bathe, to play.
X, sorry but for this one, there is nothing I can really say....

You, for reading this , thank you very much!
Zesty, yummy foods of course are last but not least of my blessings and such!

Misanthropy

All around me are morons, making it hard to believe,
believe in humanity and goodness.
Can a misanthrope have friends?
Day by day, after all, I communicate with my own.
Everyone else, I just hate.

Forget what they say, that everyone is good.
Goodness is a lie; evil shall always prevail.
Hell has many inhabitants, while heaven remains
isolated and empty.

Just, please, explain to me why
kids, adults, teenagers, everyone
loves to hate, envy, and destroy.

My dream is to create, to make beautiful things,
not to set out to ruin that which others pour their souls into.

Of course, I still hate them all, although I appear kind.
Perhaps I am too nice; after all, I cannot stand those I pretend to like.

Queer it is, but quite true...
Rather than wanting to destroy, I choose to write, create, and perform.

Strange, I think, that those who hate others are often drawn
to the arts, to creation, despite withdrawing from society.

Unbelievable, I say about the fools who surround me.
Vindictive and miserly are they,
while I stand here, an outsider,
xenophobic in their eyes...
Zealous, however, for my craft.

A certain person held his hat
But didn't do just that.
Chapstick on his lips,
Devilishly tired from many trips
Ezekiel Canatrame
(For that was the person's name)
Gripped hard onto a diamond bell,
However he also... Oh hell.
I have stop right there my verse,
Just to stop it from getting worse.
Knowing it can't get any better,
Little would it serve to go to the next letter.
More and more this sucky gets,
Never leaving anything but regrets
On me for writing something with only one quality;
Pitifulness, all the way from it's A to its Z.
Quite cheap is each of these, from the older to the new.
Respecting the order of words in a sentence is not something I do.
So why have I continued even past halfway?
To what purpose do I waste this part of my day?
Under what pretext do I think I should?
Very convinced am I that this is not good.
What is the reason? Can light on it be shown?
Xylophone!
Yet here I am, on the final rhyme,
Zero goodness made during this whole time.

Ask me not of tomorrow but of today,
But then of yesterday
Call me two days from now
Don't forget, don't fret now
Everyone says, everyone is thinking
Forget that you're sinking
Go out and have fun, but call me, call me
Have fun but don't forget to look for what you can't see
Ill-mannered people watch you everyday
Just make it a point not to stay
Keeping it in your head that
Lovers' lies are nothing but those on a welcome mat
Make it a point to not stray
No no, don't sway, don't sway
Oh how I wish you knew what
People would do to pursue
Quiet, to acheive a calm
Right in the middle of their palm
Say what they want you to but remember
That I'll look for you in December
Underneath the wormwood you will hide
Very soft, very silent, very wide eyed
Whilst I call and search and search and call into
Xeric places and soon you will crawl
Yards away from where I lay
Zig zagging in the darkness, now I lay and pray.

I had fun writing this and my family really liked it, so I hope people here will too :D

Forgotten place

Another day
Before the
Cold winter sets
Down on this
Empty town.
Forever quiet and
Gray is this town,
Hauntingly dark
In the night.
Justice has left.
Kindness has gone.
Love has vanished.
Morning brings
No relief
Of the darkness therein.
Pine, maple, birch leaves
Quake and
Rustle in the empty breeze.
Slowly dying out,
They fall to the ground.
Unloaded of their burden
Vertical trees droop as
Winter comes and goes,
Xylem grow dry
Yellow leaves turn brown
Zzzzz . . . this city sleeps forever.

A writing career is what I want.
But how to start, and what to do
Can be more than a little
Daunting for all but a precious few.
Everyone dreams and
Fancies the day that
Good news will come their way.
How to make it happen
Is what I ask myself.
Just think new thoughts and
Keep plugging along.
Life presents ideas each and every day.
Many crowd my head, but
Not enough hours to
Open a notebook and
Put my pencil to work.
Quiet time is
Rare in my house.
Sometimes, I steal a few moments
To sort out those wild imaginings.
Undying is my longing for this path.
Very determined am I, to see my
Words in print.
X marks the spot where someday I will sign on the dotted line, when
Yours truly has that elusive contract.
Zealously I will guard this dream.

Acting out in class
being Bad at math
Calling all my friends
Dying to love agen
Eating all the food
Flunking all the prudes
Going out all the time
Happily trying to make this poem whyme
Intelligent explains me well
Joking and flirting well
King and Queen is a song
Loving is what i want all day long
Moving in and out
Not sure what life is about
Opinions not needed
Properly continue to be seated
Questioning leads to reactions
Really working on my acting
Stepping on the ground
Talking really loud
Under the influence
Very into it
Working all day long
X it to the right and sing my song
Zzzzzz sleepy now

A Day in a DaZe
A long stream of curving color
Breaks through the dreariness of the day
Combining with a hint of sun passing through the rain.
Daring to reach up and feel it we may
Even when its depths are impalpable, imaginary.
Finding its spirit shall lift us up and take us away…
Galloping the paths of an unreal world,
Hills, green grasslands, a purple mountain come our way.
In a land of creation and make-believe,
Joyful colors of reds, oranges, and blues leap and play.
Knights on horseback, castles we see from afar;
Let’s perchance find a fierce dragon to slay.
Maybe fly up in a cloud, do cartwheels in the sky.
Never bored shall we be, always free to lurk astray.
Oh, but over these tall trees, hoping to uncover
Polished pots of gold bouquets.
Quite surely to be found somewhere, sometime.
Racing against the cycles of life, shadows will display…
Soon, stars will shine, among them
Tunnels of long, merciless gray.
Understand, now that it’s time to go;
Virtually impossible at the moment to stay.
When the sun comes out again though,
Xanthous and bright; the start of a new day…
Youthful and promising; we can jump up for joy,
Zipping through the air to a land far away.
