Today my tears refused
to be imprisoned
while watching a film
on Gandhi's life

His unflinching, Godly resolve
moments of exhilaration and
plummeting despair

Christ-like love for Humanity
an example the world has
yet to follow

O' Gandhiji
Your sacrifice
and dedication will
never be forgotten

Like Jesus, Buddha and
all the great Mahatmas
you died with the name
of God on your lips

That is good, though Gandhi is too often represented as a peace-loving pacifist, and he wasn't. He fought through pacifism because the English disarmed the people, which Gandhi said was the worst thing England did to India, and he knew his enemy well. Had his enemy been the Nazis, he wouldn't have tried pacifism.

He was also eventually killed by a machine gun.
