Iain- Ah, if only I were going to Spain in June instead of England and Scotland, I'd hunt you up!

I can't remember where this was, but it was in a freshwater lake on Fraser Island. It was said that if you bathed in it it would revitalise you complettely, no matter how tired/down you were.

OK here's mine...

Crystal Vision

A crystal vision
So sweet to savour
Life giving force
Re-energising my tired spirit
Lapping at my cheeks
As I skim the rippling surface
Gazing
At the irridescent blue
Reflecting my own blue
Hums of life are subdued
My own harmony
My own peace
My own paradise
Inside my head
Body of water
Water of body
Brought together
Again as one
Again as complete
Souls
What is borne
Of this Earth
Shall one day return
Bathing my imaginings
My hopes, fears and torments
Gliding in the tears of
Mother Nature.

Iain- All around Devon and Cornwall, and north of Edinburgh and into the Orkney islands, with a side trip to King's Lynn in the middle. This is my Arthurian Legend/Medieval History/Geek trip. I've never been to the UK and I've always wanted to go. I'm sure when I return I'll have new "water" poems, including a variety of fluids that come in glasses.....

Everyone - I'm delighted that "water" was an interesting prompt - I got lots if people are interested. On the other hand, I know Robert's going to post the Wednesday prompt any moment, so I'll scoot over there shortly, too!

Sounds great. Edinburgh is beautiful but so is the south west, most of my family live in Aberdeen but I lived in East Anglia for years. If you get the chance go Woodbridge (my old home) in Suffolk. There is the only working tide mill in Britain.

Hey Mollie...I went from living eighty miles from the equator...to Toronto....hoo-boy, do I understand your "lake effect"...and I want you to know that your poems were always a highlight for me, for whatever that's worth. Lox
