Contest Deadlines

Postby LMGilbert » Tue May 22, 2012 1:38 pm

Not sure where to address this, so posting under FAQs.

What is the reason for extending contest deadlines? When deadlines are extended, how is it fair to the many people who rushed to meet the originally published deadline? Shouldn't it just be too bad for those who don't make the originally published deadline?

Which contests, LMGilbert? Maybe I can track an answer down for you if I could find the contests themselves.

The WD Annual contest. Wasn't it published with a May deadline earlier?

I'll turn this over to someone who is familiar with this contest. I have no idea. Perhaps a PM to one of the contest administrators would be in order?

If this contest was published in the magazine, post the author or one of the mag editors. If online, contact whoever posted it by clicking on his/her name and sending a PM.

Posting a question in the forum and hoping that a forum or magazine editor will see it and respond is pretty much a shot in the dark. Consider me as only the flashlight.
