Aliases and Regular Names--Consistency

Postby Edwyn » Sat Feb 09, 2013 7:53 pm

I am writing a book and one of the characters is in the military and has a call name. However, I do not use his call name throughout the book, especially when he is with family and I am concerned about consistency issues. Can someone advise me as to how I can keep his name(s) clear for the reader? Thank you! :x

what do you mean by a 'call' name?

whatever it is, if you make it clear to the reader from the outset that he has a 'nickname' and is known by that in some circles, then they won't be confused...

Basically it is an alias. A nickname. Thanks, mammamaia!
