Quick question

Okay, guys - help me out please. Is there a particular name for an outside entryway to a basement that has the angled doors that you lift up to get to the stairs? It seems like there is, but it's not coming to me.

We simply called ours the "cellar door", as it led to the cellar, which was a scary place for a kid.

As far as I can remember they have always been called a "cellar door". Like Paul, yes, they were a scary place as a kid.

Yeah, there's no specific term other than 'angled cellar door' - that's even how they're listed on contractor/supply sites.

normally, just 'cellar door'... 'angled' would be too specific for anything but a catalog listing, imo...
