Creative writing is a new direction for me -- I am experimenting with poetry and have started a short story. My stint of writing occurs during lunch at my office desk with the lights off and the door closed to ward off any unwanted visitors. I have come to cherish that quiet hour and have discovered that I am a writer. Most of my reading is done by the pond in a comfy folding chair. During the Thanksgiving holidays, my husband and I will be clearing out a bedroom and setting it up as a Writing/Art/Quilting Room for me -- I can't wait!

Beautiful! I have woods that I like to write in all the time, and I write in my room. It's so nice to have a place (somewhat!) to yourself! Outdoors is THE way to go! :D

Wow, what serenity.  It is enough inspiration to fill several trilogies.  Thanks for sharing.-DavidG

Your office and pond are so nice. I live right near a park that's pretty wild and cozy, so I know how it feels looking down at the water reflecting trees and light...VERY inspiring!

Oh--and great idea with the poetry. I've written over a hundred over just under a year (since March) and have found it very relaxing.
