"How to read" books

Postby Gooblink » Tue Jul 08, 2014 8:45 pm

A couple books I highly recommend are "How to Read A Book," by Mortimer Adler, and "How to Read Literature Like a Professor," by Thomas C. Foster. Foster's book I found more valuable from a writer's perspective, while Adler's classic work is full of information to consider as a reader, whether fiction or non-fiction. Adler's is a little less entertaining, but a lot more meaty. Foster is pretty glib, but has helped open my writer-mind.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
Peace,
Cindy
