Jonathan King - Max Freeman Series

Postby Dostxbook » Wed Jan 02, 2013 7:00 am

The first Jonathan King book, The Blue Edge of Midnight, had me hooked. The prose was fantastic and the storyline drew me in. As such, I have continued to read through the series. So far I have completed five books and have been entertained by four. The fifth book, Acts of Nature, didn't do much for me. It didn't feel like the typical Max Freeman story, spent far too much time with other characters, and the pacing dragged in several places. Still, I enjoy reading Jonathan King, and I recommend his books (the 5th Max Freeman book aside). I'm about to start his sixth Freeman book, so I can't report on it.

FYI: King's stand-alone novel, Eye of Vengeance, is worth reading as well.
