The Perks of Being a Wallflower

This is such a refreshing change after reading a Suzanne Collins potboiler. It's very human and sweet.

I mean sweet like Mozart and Matisse are sweet.

I haven't read this book yet, but it's third on my "to read" list. I'll try to remember to stop in and discuss it with you :)

I read it, and unfortunately didn't like it. Maybe this genre is not for me?

I haven't seen the film. They usually don't live up to the book, for me, except in a few cases where the movie is excellent and the book is then disappointing in comparison.

What is different about this one though is the author wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. So you might not be disappointed.
