Goals for 2014

Postby EccentricKim » Tue Dec 31, 2013 9:09 pm

I'm gonna start a new thread!

Here are my writing goals:

1. Finish the first draft of my current WIP, "Know Your Place."
2. Finish my blurb forms for short stories and books that will be released next year.
3. Do edits on novel.
4. Query agents.
5. Set up a booth at pride and sell my books.
6. Do one (1) local book signing. NO EXCUSES!
7. Write at least one short story and at least one article for publication.
8. Begin a new novel.

I like those goals, so organized & thoughtful! My goal is to try to write about once or twice a week. And enter some contests or something.

I've never set a limit on my goal time, however, I'm giving my self a lot of excuses. So, by the end of 2014 I intend to finish lessons on writing for Children and complete the Childrens book I began over twenty years ago.

Mazy, my first YA novel took 20 years from first draft to publication! It's called No Turning Back and I first wrote it in pencil when I was 10, then over the years set it aside, rewrote, revised, and repeated until I finally redid the whole thing yet again and it was published! Good luck!
