Put a # after my name to keep track of new goals vs. already posted goals for me - I know - I really do have trouble keeping organized and focused).  This may look like my things to do list but I think I need all of you for support and prodding. Thanks

1.  Write query to womens magazines (mammo article) Saturday 4/1

        - make first paragraph a grabber and include research info

2.  Mail queries to the 2 childrens magazine chosen (ADHD) 3/31

Karen :)

Good luck with both goals - they're definitely within reach.

Wow! You have two days to complete your goals. You would do something like this, you know.

Cool! Your mammo article is wonderful and about ready to go, right?

Thanks guys, I'm starting small - and I'm also new at all of the query stuff - so I am a bit apprehensive (but time will tell) - wow, I am much more subdued tonight -

Once you attain these goals, Karen, you'll be able to better see if you want to push a little more. Then you can add some more stuff to the work pile! I think your goals are great! Attainable and productive.

He all, I played "teacher" today so I've just gotten back to all of my goals - oh wait - only had 2.

Mammo article is researched, and re-edited - FINAL edit, mind you!

Query letter will be done tonight (after Little League practice) most of it is roughed out - just need to tweak

I have compiled a small list of potentials for the above (2 maybe 3 mags) I will review submission guidelines again and get those out tomorrow.

Parents and I use that term as a generic (not Parents mag), queries done (2) - when my printer cooperates - they will be printed and mailed tomorrow morning

ADHD article will have final edit completed tonight for main story. Final research for sidebar about 3/4 done)

I think I'm in pretty good shape - I have several other partial pieces in the very rough stages - 2 are at the top of my 'favorite' piece of slush - slush pile and I will tackle those starting next week.

*big sigh*

Karen :)
