Grammar is fundamental.
You ask me what I thought about
Before we were lovers.
The answer is easy.
Before I met you
I didn't have anything to think about.

nope

my grammar is impeccable

my style is not formal for an informal internet forum as that is reserved for significant print documents[/quote]

Good grammar is second nature for good, seasoned, experienced writers. They wouldn't consider ignoring it to be a "style" (unless you're e e cummings), and certainly not for communicating with other writers.

But now I'm beginning to think you actually have written some fiction - most of it on this forum.

Forget formal. I'm not applying the Chicago Manual of Style to your posts.

But you aren't even attempting clarity. THAT is what simple grammar is about.

You know, the joke about "Let's eat Grandpa!" versus "Let's eat, Grandpa!"

It's everyone else, never you. You are flawless and above criticism (in your own mind).

Yeah, with that, we're done.

I'm thinking the best response to any of william's comments is a simple "Bull hockey" and then let him rant to empty space.

insults are meaningless and do no good

if i post something wrong then provide evidence

if i post something unclear ask about it
it may just be you and not what i wrote that is wrong

that would be the typical useless meaningless response you folks always do

try showing evidence that i am wrong
instead of just arguing that your opinion is gospel
