Nedlo, the first step is to click on the "report" button. Posts in the forums most likely will not be noticed by forum or site admins, but reports are usually read first by admins when we log into the site. You can also send PM's directly to site admins, but a report should be filed first. One per spammer name is sufficient.

Tks "pls". I picked up the same info from "mamm". BTY: I was a ham-op, for several years down in S.A. for several years. I can still pound a "key" reasonably well. I have really been thinking about getting a license again. I've got a nice tower, that I can put an array on.

Never got into ham ops - I spent seven years on the air at commercial radio stations (AM, mostly) and pretty much talked myself out of the desire to continue talking via amateur radio. My radio hobby is AM DX'ing nowadays - "collecting" AM stations via recording instances of call letters, city of license, frequency - at least two of those three to "count" a station.

My brother was a Morse Code Intercept Operator in the Air Force and can also pound a key, but I left that skill entirely to him :P .

The ones that get you banned, lol.

The ones posted by Brian are obvious. But here's what can get you into trouble with a mod (me): (1) Reopening a discussion when it has been locked by the mod. (2) Arguing with, belittling, or angering a mod. (3) After being banned, re-registering with a different handle. (3) Posting the same question, thread, or topic in different forums and expecting people to chase them down and read them to understand what you need. (4) Not reading responses to questions or statements you've posted and then continuing to repost questions which have already been posted. (5) Posting inappropriate topics in forums. (6) Not reading and following these and other rules. (7) Asking for services not provided by the WD forum (hint: ghostwriter). (8) Posting excerpts of your writing for critique, but not reciprocating with critiques of others' works.

You're guilty of six of these infractions, Isaac. But as a former teacher, I'm interested in educating people, not punishing them, and I believe in second chances. Maia has stated that she will help you, and so will I. Follow our advice and work with us, and you'll find that we will help you wherever we can. Annoy us, and we will take action. (As a volunteer moderator, I can devote only so much time to following up on complaints by other forumites; I had to deal with FIVE reports today, Isaac. Ugh.)
