Happy New Year~!

Postby deloughy » Fri Dec 30, 2011 6:20 pm

What are everyone's resolutions? :)

Mine is to hopefully finish editing my book in a month. Then maybe completely fine-tuned by the end of February, March at the latest.

I'll be spending the New Year watching The Twilight Zone marathon, my favorite!!!! :D

Get published. Get a job. Possibly move back out of my parents house.

More realistically, develop a routine where I write everyday. I have no job, so I should be able to spend all the time I don't spend looking for one writing.

Oh, and read more. My reading declined so much while I was at university and I need to get back into the habit of reading everyday.

I doubt I'll do anything special for New Year. Its never been a big thing in my family and I don't drink, so I tend to stay away from public places. I'll probably watch a DVD and drink hot chocolate (midnight is early for me so its not like I'll be staying up abnormally).

1. Keep submitting my book to agents and hopefully get one who gets me a deal with a publisher!

2. Finish first draft of my next book.

3. Continue to write and submit short stories/articles for publication

4. Think of an idea for another book.

Did I already write this list somewhere else? I don't even know anymore. Happy New Year!

1) Finish editing my novel and submit it for publication. 2) Get more acceptance letters for my poetry. 3) Learn more patience :P

I usually don't make New Year's resolutions. However, I do plan to finish editing my second novel in January, create a query letter and synopsis, and begin querying agents in February or March at the latest.

As for tonight, we'll be watching "Water for Elephants," then kicking back with a gin and tonic and a bowl of cheese balls. :D

Happy New Year to all my friends on the forum!

Happy New Year to all of my good friends here in the WD Forum! Hope 2012 is filled with good health and happiness for you and your families. After all, what else do you need other than that, and some stuff from the $1 Store?

(PS - My resolution? Figure out how to restore my avatar around here before the big ball drops on Brian at midnight, 12/31/12. ;-)

Happy New Year everyone!

To celebrate New Year's Eve my husband and I are going to put on our comfy clothes, turn down the lights, and lock our doors so nobody can bother us. And then we're going to... watch the movie "American Werewolf in London". I haven't seen this movie since I watched it at the theater as a teenager. Hope it's as good as I remember, but something tells me it won't be. Also, I have no doubt Mr. Updog will be asleep before the Werewolf makes its first appearance.

Oh, and I resolve to write more and worry less in 2012. :D

Happy New Year, Forum Friends! Hope 2012 brings good health and happiness to you all.

Today is my birthday, but I think hubby, daughter and I will be staying pretty close to home this year. No partying for us. I'm still in blahsville after the flu. :|

Can't think of any New Year's revolutions. Too tired. 'Scuse me -- got to go and have another nap. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
