    Thanks for posting this one, Maria. I actually just liked hearing the story about what was apparently the first e-promoted book evah! That, and her follow-up comment: "…and I would never do that again." Interesting thoughts from someone who has been there and done it.

    I also liked her thoughts on "We’re writers. Ideally, we should write, and not do marketing. That’s not what we’re good at," – at least that was the gist of it. I’m sure there are some basic things that a writer should be attentive to when trying to get her or his work out there, but to get caught up in the marketing aspect moreso than the writing itself doesn’t sound like it would be ultimately the best path – at least not for someone like myself.

    M.J. is right – I can write. Marketing? Not so much.
