Write Blog Post: Day 24 of the 2015 October Platform Challenge

Today’s task has been done before, but part of this entire challenge is developing consistency in completing tasks. It’s more effective to have one post per week to make four (or five) posts in a month than it is to have four posts on one day…and silence the rest of the month. If you want to write five posts in a day, go for it–but schedule them a week apart (or at least a few days). That is, unless you have a daily blog.

Write Blog Post

For today’s platform-building task, write a blog post. Maintain that consistency of posting this month, but also incorporate some of the SEO strategies we discussed yesterday.

Consider the focus of your post and how people might search on that topic. Then, try to create a post that incorporates that key word or phrase throughout, but especially in the beginning. Remember: The more specific the better for SEO.

Now, get posting!

I’ve modified the post I wrote today for November 2nd to include a keyword (Sharing), putting it in the title and in the 1st paragraph as well as in the keyword lists. I used my name as a keyword as well, making sure the image had my name on it. I re-wrote the title of the post to include the keyword and yes, WordPress does allow editing of the url link. Very cool.

OK – so just read this one after commenting on day 23 and will do this on the 29th which is my next posting day. Now that I have an editorial calendar I am really sticking to it because it is keeping me on track. 🙂

Even though I’ve bogged down the past couple days learning about tech matters, I’m fleshing out my editorial calendar. I know the thing that will work best for me as I pick up momentum will be the timed-release posts.
