Summer Writing Events: Meet Me & Get Advice on Your Career

This summer I’m speaking to writers in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and California. I hope to meet you at one of these events.

For a full schedule of where I’m speaking through 2011—and to request me to speak for your group—click here.

Tomorrow! Evansville, Indiana (June 19)
I’ll be at the Red Bank library in Evansville, Indiana. I’m speaking about emerging tools for getting published (like Amazon DTP), as well as offering a social media primer.

Capitol City Young Writers’ Conference (July 17)
This event near San Francisco is focused on young writers, but adults can attend too if they sponsor a young writer. Click here for more info.

Midwest Writers Workshop (July 29-31), Muncie, Ind.
I’ve been speaking at MWW since 2003! It’s one of the most supportive and warm conference environments you’ll ever experience!

Michigan Idea Lab (August 14-15)
This event is a little different than what’s described on the site, even the dates are different—but it IS on August 14-15. Worth looking into!

Last but not least:

Writer’s Digest Editors’ Intensive in September (our last one in 2010!). This is limited to just 50 writers. Everyone who attends gets a 30-minute appointment with one of our editors to discuss the first 50 pages of a manuscript. Request me as your editor if you like!
