Welcome to the GLA WordPress Blog!

Categories: Chuck Sambuchino's Guide to Literary Agents Blog Tags: , , , .

<b>Welcome to the new GLA Blog!</b> All the Writer’s Digest sites have recently moved over to WordPress, and GLA has finally taken the plunge and joined them.

The most important thing to note here is that the blog will be exactly the same as the old blog you visited during the past four years. I will still have the same posts, the same content, the same pictures of my fat and semi-worthless dog. As these next weeks continue, I may or may not make changes so the blog is easier to navigate and more appealing. We’ll see.

Lastly, you may see that the most recent two months of posts did not transfer over. No worries. Those are all saved and I will be pulling those over one by one in the coming days/weeks. All is well.

Honestly, I’m a little devastated. The old site was incredibly helpful with all of the categories and information easily searchable and clickable. This is not at all the same site, maybe for someone who just wants the new posts, it will be similar, but for someone coming in trying to research, the sidebar info was the most useful and that is completely gone now. I only discovered your site a few days ago and now I’m saddened by the loss of that information.

Very sleek I must say, and the HTML is outstanding. Plus, I can use this new format to write in the dark sometimes, since it is bright and will light up the keys. I am having a bit of a hard time navigating through the right column, however. That is the biggest transitional difference for me.

I have to say I agree with KYwriter – the old site was so very helpful and easy to navigate if you were researching a specific topic, for example, new agents. I miss the sidebar! I used to be on this site several times a week, but *sigh*. I also can’t see any of the images, but maybe that’s something I’m doing wrong.

I also agree with KYwriter. I went to look up an interview that I know was on the old site and can’t find it here. When I search the agent’s name, nothing comes up. I’m frustrated at the difficulty in navigating this site, especially when I know how helpful the information on your old blog/site was.

Congrats on the new site, Chuck!
