I read a lot of nonfiction, but perhaps my favorite writer is Malcolm Gladwell. His books are just amazing. As a writer myself (and especially back in my playwriting days when I was conjuring up more fiction), I am sometimes asked “Where do you come up with this stuff?”
Well, I find myself asking the same question when reading Gladwell’s stuff. So I wanted to share a link to this short but illuminating interview Gladwell did with CBS News here. I haven’t found a way to embed the video yet, so you have to go to CBS to see the video.

Malcolm Gladwell is one of my favorite authors. He can take any topic and make it interesting and understandable. I’ve referred to his book on my blog many times.
Malcolm Gladwell is amazing.
His jaw seems very asymmetrical in this video, though. I couldn’t stop trying to figure out if that’s just how he is, or if it was a trick of the camera angle…
Totally the point of the video, I know.
What a cool video. Just goes to show you…inspiration can come from anywhere at any time.
Thanks for posting!
