Literary Agent Jody Klein of Brandt and Hochman Literary Seeks New Clients

Categories: Chuck Sambuchino's Guide to Literary Agents Blog, Fiction Agents, Graphic Novel Agents, Literary Agent, Literary Fiction Agents, Memoir Agents, Narrative Nonfiction, New Agency Alerts, What's New.

I’m not considering this a true New Agent Alert because literary agent Jody Klein (of Brandt and Hochman Literary Agents, Inc.) is not new. That said, this post resembles an Alert in that Jody did tell me recently how she is actively looking to build her client list right now — and that is something writers should be happy to know. All details below for those interested in querying her!

About Jody: Jody Klein began her publishing career in 2008 as an assistant to Gail Hochman at Brandt & Hochman Literary Agents, Inc., where she now has her own clients and handles first-serial rights for the agency.  Jody also serves as the administrative secretary of the Association of Authors’ Representatives.
Jody — who holds a BS in Human Development with a minor in Studio Art — is an artist and an athlete, who runs, swims and practices yoga in her free time.  She also loves cooking and getting lost in unique neighborhoods of New York City.

She is seeking: She is actively acquiring literary and commercial fiction, crime/suspense, historical fiction, graphic novels/memoirs, and magical realism, as well as narrative nonfiction (especially related to sports, science, or history), and prescriptive nonfiction.

How to submit: To query Jody, please email jklein [at] bromasite.com with a one-page query letter that includes writing credentials and a description of the work. Owing to the high volume of e-mail she receives, she can only respond to e-mail queries when she is interested in seeing more.  For a guaranteed response, you can mail a one-page query letter along with a SASE to: Jody Klein, Brandt & Hochman Literary Agents, Inc.  Suite 2310, New York, NY 10036.

I am looking for an agent for a biweekly submission. Which includes a possible daily. Similar to astrology but instead of other planets; this tracks this planets cycles.
