Q: Are e-books eligible for the competition?
Not at this time.

Q: Can I send a proof to the competition for judging?
Entrants must send a printed and bound book. Entries will be evaluated on content, writing quality and overall quality of production and appearance. No handwritten books are accepted.

Q: How many copies of my entry should I send?
Please send ONE copy of your book per entry. You may enter more than one book and/or more than one category; however, you must include a separate book, entry form and the additional fee for each entry.

Q: What if my publisher is mailing my book for me?
You should enter/pay online and send a copy of the completed entry form to your publisher to include with the book when it mails. Books must be mailed with a copy of the completed entry form. Photocopies of the Official Entry Form are acceptable. You may enter more than one book and/or more than one category; however, you must include a separate book, entry form and the additional fee for each entry.

Q: Do you need to receive my book by the deadline?
Our deadline refers to the date which all entries must be postmarked by.

Q: How do I know if you have received my entry?
If you wish to be able to track your package delivery, we recommend that you use certified mail or some other tracking method to send your entry. We cannot track package receipt.

Q: What if I am not certain which category to enter?
Please choose the category that you feel is best suited to and the category that you feel your book would be best marketed in. Our judges reserve the right (but are not obligated) to re-categorize an entry if they see fit.
